The Mehoopany Pet Lodge was the first kennel in northeastern Pennsylvania to be accredited by the ABKA, and we are very proud of that.

We know it's not easy to leave your Best Friend in the care of strangers. But get to know us by this website. We have been involved with the dog world for over thirty years. We have owned and shown Old English Sheepdogs, English Springer Spaniels, an English Setter, a Bichon Frise, and are now deeply involved with the Shih Tzu Breed. But we love all dogs!
The Mehoopany Pet Lodge is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Department of Agriculture, is a member of the American Boarding Kennel Association, and the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce. Your host Barbara, is a member of the Wilkes-Barre Dog Training Club (also past president), a member of the Lackawanna Kennel Club (past board member), and the American Shih Tzu Club.
